About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. As an integral part of the Inventory Department, you will oversee and optimize inventory management processes to support large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, including government mega-projects and private sector developments. Your expertise will ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are efficiently tracked, stored, and distributed to meet project timelines and quality standards.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with procurement, project management, and site teams to maintain accurate inventory records, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper storage and handling of materials.
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to forecast material requirements and avoid delays.
- Train and mentor inventory staff to enhance team performance and adherence to best practices.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels effectively.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline material deliveries and minimize waste.
- Implement measures to reduce inventory costs while maintaining quality and availability.
- Support the adoption of digital tools and technologies to improve inventory processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in inventory management software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices.
- Familiarity with Saudi Labor Law and compliance requirements for inventory operations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Experience working on mega-projects or within the construction sector.
- Knowledge of LEAN inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and their impact on the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Working Conditions
- This position is office-based in Riyadh, with occasional visits to construction sites as required.
- Standard working hours apply, with flexibility for project demands.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required during site visits.
- The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
