About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Electrical Engineer to join our Technical Department in Cairo. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, reviewing, and overseeing electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, utilities, and industrial facilities. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of projects aligned with Egypt Vision 2030, focusing on urban development and infrastructure modernization.
In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into complex infrastructure designs. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Egyptian Code, safety standards, and international best practices. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will tackle challenging engineering problems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the technical excellence that defines BEC Arabia.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with the Egyptian Code and international standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Develop detailed electrical plans, schematics, and specifications using tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Conduct load calculations, fault analysis, and power distribution studies to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client review.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select electrical materials and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure electrical engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and other electrical design software.
- Strong knowledge of the Egyptian Code and relevant international standards.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Registration with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Certification in LEED or other green building standards.
- Experience with smart city infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit MEP.
- Previous experience working on government mega-projects in Egypt.
Working Conditions
- Based in Cairo, with occasional travel to project sites within Egypt.
- Primarily office-based, with periodic site visits requiring PPE compliance.
- Standard working hours, with flexibility for project deadlines.
- Exposure to construction site environments, including outdoor conditions.
