About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a skilled and dedicated PMV Mechanic to join our Logistics Department in Khobar. As a PMV Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our fleet of construction equipment, vehicles, and machinery. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our projects, which include some of the Kingdom's most ambitious infrastructure and construction initiatives.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and project managers to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Day-to-day activities will involve diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, vehicles, and machinery, including excavators, loaders, cranes, and generators.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the logistics and project teams to prioritize and schedule equipment servicing.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ISO 45001 safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
• Participate in regular safety audits and inspections to uphold BEC Arabia’s safety-first culture.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns on-site to minimize project delays.
• Implement and adhere to ARAMCO-approved maintenance procedures where applicable.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in construction machinery and maintenance techniques.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing construction equipment and vehicles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Compliance with Saudi Labor Law and registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field.
• Experience working on ARAMCO or other mega-projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Familiarity with Mostadam or LEED green building standards.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical systems.
• Previous experience in a multinational workforce environment.

Working Conditions

• Based in Khobar, with occasional travel to project sites across the Kingdom.
• Work environment includes both office settings and outdoor construction sites.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions typical of the region.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory on-site.
• Standard working hours with potential for overtime during critical project phases.
