About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a skilled PMV Electrician to join our Logistics Department in Khobar. As a PMV Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in heavy construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role is pivotal to supporting BEC Arabia's ambitious infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and mega-developments aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the operational efficiency of our Project Management Vehicle (PMV) fleet. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose electrical issues in heavy construction equipment, including cranes, excavators, and loaders.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, wiring issues, and control systems in a timely manner.
- Install and upgrade electrical components and systems as required for project needs.
- Collaborate with the PMV team to ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Monitor and test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
- Support emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance requests as needed.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source and stock essential electrical components.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy machinery and construction equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and Saudi Building Code (SBC).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on mega-projects or in a large-scale construction environment.
- Certification in PLC programming or advanced electrical diagnostics.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with green energy solutions and sustainable practices in construction.
- Basic proficiency in Arabic for effective communication on-site.
Working Conditions
- Based in Khobar, with occasional travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia.
- Work primarily conducted on construction sites, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exposure to outdoor environments, including high temperatures and dusty conditions.
- Standard working hours with potential for overtime during project deadlines or emergencies.
