Fleet Supervisor

About the Role

BEC Arabia is looking for a dedicated Fleet Supervisor to join our Logistics Department in Khobar. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management and maintenance of our extensive fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring their optimal performance to support our large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in coordinating logistics, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implementing cost-effective fleet management strategies.

This position offers the opportunity to work on some of Saudi Arabia's most iconic projects, including those aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations. With a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability, this role offers a clear path for professional growth within one of the Kingdom's leading construction firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking vehicles and equipment.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, ensuring vehicles and equipment meet operational and safety standards.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and extend asset lifecycles.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including Saudi Labor Law and safety standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
• Develop and implement cost-effective fleet management strategies to optimize fuel consumption and reduce operational costs.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and suppliers for fleet-related services.
• Train drivers and operators on safety protocols, operational guidelines, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet usage, maintenance schedules, and expenses using fleet management software.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely availability of vehicles and equipment for site operations.
• Investigate and resolve any incidents or accidents involving fleet vehicles, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and tools (e.g., Fleetio, Geotab, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and logistics operations.
• Familiarity with Saudi Labor Law, GOSI requirements, and safety standards such as ISO 45001.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Saudi driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Fleet Management or Logistics (e.g., NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager - CAFM).
• Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 projects or other large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
• Knowledge of green fleet management practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools for fleet performance metrics.
• Experience managing fleets in a multi-national, multi-project environment.

Working Conditions

• Location: Office-based in Khobar with occasional site visits to construction and project locations.
• Travel: Regional travel within Saudi Arabia may be required.
• Environment: Combination of office and outdoor site environments; exposure to construction site conditions.
• Safety: Compliance with PPE requirements and adherence to safety protocols.
• Hours: Standard full-time schedule with potential for extended hours during peak project phases.
