About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in Makkah. As a key member of the HR department, you will support the full spectrum of HR operations, ensuring seamless processes that align with our organizational goals and compliance standards. This role is instrumental in fostering a positive employee experience and maintaining operational excellence across our diverse workforce.

Working closely with HR leadership, you will manage day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records management, and compliance with Saudi Labor Law and Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements. You will also play a critical role in supporting our workforce engaged in delivering some of the Kingdom’s most ambitious construction and infrastructure projects, including government mega-projects and private sector developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation, training, and orientation sessions are completed in compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with Saudi Labor Law and GOSI requirements, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Support Saudization (Nitaqat) initiatives, including tracking quotas and assisting in the recruitment of Saudi nationals.
  • Assist in payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee salaries and benefits.
  • Monitor compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and ISO certifications.
  • Coordinate employee training programs, including scheduling, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, events, and recognition programs, to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and department heads, to address workforce needs and challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR coordination or generalist role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI requirements, and Saudization (Nitaqat) program.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and Arabic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in CIPD, SHRM-CP, or PHR.
  • Experience in HR roles supporting mega-projects or multinational teams.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
  • Knowledge of BIM adoption and digital construction trends.
  • Experience with HR analytics tools and reporting.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time, office-based role located in Makkah.
  • Standard working hours apply, with occasional extended hours based on project needs.
  • Minimal travel may be required to project sites or other BEC Arabia offices.
  • The role requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with local labor laws.
