About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics - Administrative Officer to join our Logistics Department in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of logistics operations across our diverse portfolio of projects, which include commercial buildings, infrastructure development, and government mega-projects. As a key member of the logistics team, you will provide administrative and operational support to facilitate the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.
You will work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and external vendors to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to resolve any logistical issues.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays proactively.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and other administrative documents related to logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and other regulatory requirements, including GOSI and Saudization (Nitaqat) standards.
- Support the logistics team in planning and scheduling transportation routes to optimize efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Assist in the preparation of logistics reports and performance metrics for management review.
- Implement and uphold safety and quality standards in all logistics activities, adhering to ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or administrative roles, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and Nitaqat compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP, or similar).
- Experience working on mega-projects or within the GCC region.
- Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and their impact on logistics and infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in logistics analytics tools and reporting dashboards.
Working Conditions
- This role is office-based in Riyadh, with occasional visits to project sites as required.
- Standard working hours apply, with flexibility to address urgent logistics needs outside regular hours.
- Work may involve collaboration across multiple time zones and coordination with international vendors.
- The role requires adherence to safety standards, including the use of PPE when visiting construction sites.
