About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced Technical - Electrical Team Leader to join our Technical Department in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers, ensuring the successful delivery of complex electrical systems for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in driving technical excellence, innovation, and compliance with international and local standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical engineering team in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Develop detailed electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications, using industry-standard software.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) requirements, and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring that electrical deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and project requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including calculations, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select electrical materials, equipment, and vendors.
- Implement safety standards and ensure all electrical systems comply with OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in electrical engineering to drive innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and Revit MEP.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant standards.
- Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems in large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Experience with smart city technologies and sustainable electrical systems.
- Knowledge of LEED, Mostadam, or other green building standards.
- Previous experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
Working Conditions
- Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Environment: Primarily office-based with regular visits to construction sites.
- Travel: Occasional regional travel may be required.
- PPE: Personal Protective Equipment must be worn during site visits.
- Climate: Exposure to high temperatures during site inspections.
