Senior Civil Construction Manager

About the Role

BEC Arabia is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. As a Senior Civil Construction Manager, you will play a critical role in managing complex projects tied to Saudi Vision 2030, such as smart cities, highways, and government mega-projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), safety standards (ISO 45001), and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication and resolve project challenges.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project delays or cost overruns.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any issues.
• Oversee procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiations, to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Drive the adoption of digital construction tools such as BIM and Primavera P6 to enhance project efficiency.
• Collaborate with sustainability teams to incorporate green building practices and achieve Mostadam or LEED certifications where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Proven expertise in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and safety standards such as ISO 45001.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure or government mega-projects.
• Proficiency in contract management and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
• Experience with NEOM, Red Sea Global, or other Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
• Familiarity with green building certifications such as Mostadam or LEED.
• Knowledge of advanced construction technologies, including BIM Level 2 and digital twin platforms.

Working Conditions

• Based in Riyadh, with frequent visits to construction sites.
• Combination of office and fieldwork, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, including high temperatures typical of the region.
• Occasional travel within Saudi Arabia to oversee multiple project sites.
• Standard workweek with potential for extended hours during critical project phases.
