Senior Civil Construction Manager

About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Construction Manager to join our Project Management team in Riyadh. This pivotal role will oversee the execution of complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader, you will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regulatory standards.

Working on some of the Kingdom's most ambitious projects, including Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of infrastructure development in the region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing project schedules, budgets, and resources while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and government authorities to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, ensuring timely completion of all project milestones.
• Oversee budget management, cost control, and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), safety standards (ISO 45001, NEBOSH), and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Implement risk management strategies to identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks proactively.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and addressing challenges.
• Foster a safety-first culture by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety protocols on-site.
• Drive innovation by adopting digital construction tools, such as BIM, to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is mandatory.
• Proven expertise in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulatory standards.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or mega-projects.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or digital construction methodologies.
• Experience with LEED or Mostadam green building standards.
• Previous experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
• Familiarity with ARAMCO or SABIC project standards.

Working Conditions

• Based in Riyadh with regular site visits to active construction projects.
• Combination of office and on-site work environments, requiring the use of PPE on construction sites.
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, including high temperatures typical of the region.
• Occasional travel within the Kingdom for project-related activities.
• Standard workweek with potential for extended hours during critical project phases.
